Anyone who's finished Tony Hawk American Wasteland prolly remembers this track from the ending credits movie.
Beatport classifies this 160 BPM track as Indie Dance and Nu Disco but what the hell do they know right? To me it sounds like an old school chiptune anthem and in order to ace this remix I had to take the trouble of re-recording guitars, vocals and synthlines. I believe Dr.Dre is known for doing this as well, he rarely uses any external samples, choosing instead to resample them from scratch but I'm not Dr.Dre and the reason I resampled them is because I simply do not know Felix Da Housecat well enough to write him an email saying Hey! Can you mail me the stems of that track you did 10 years ago? But still, it was fun seeing how close I would get to sounding as the original mix, and the result was not too shabby.
137 is the tempo of this fast paced hard trance mix.
4 is the amount of views it will prolly get on youtube (yay).
3 is the amount of breaks in the song (above average).
2 is the number of microphones I used to record the vocals (SM58 and U441).

Me alegra estar adentrandome in la producción de remixes, siento que es una manera de devolverle algo a los temas que tanto me gustan y disfruto. Para esta edición elegí una canción de un artista que conozco no por irlo a bailar a un boliche sino por escucharlo en los credits de un videojuego, el Tony Hawk American Wasteland para ser exacto, uno de esos juegps de skate donde hacías combos interminables de millones de puntos y te la pasabas volando por los aires, muy entretenido.
Al igual que el último remix este fue un desafío porque lo construí en base a un mp3, sin stems y esto te oblida a regrabar ciertas partes y a warpear el audio original que rara vez viene sincronizado. Me alegra saber que es el primer remix trance y espero que algún día Felix da Housecat pueda escucharlo!
